The WILL OF GOD is PEACE ON EARTH and GOOD WILL TOWARD MEN!  This is His Will, His intended Purpose, and His Promise.  It only can happen, however, when God is MAGNIFIED and GLORIFIED.  This is what releases His Favor and Blessings upon the earth.  GLORY to GOD IN THE HIGHEST!
 
Hebrews 1:3 NIV84 - The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word…
 
Beloved, when we truly magnify and glorify The Lord, we witness His Power!

Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV - Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
 
I cannot be a Person OF PEACE unless I am a Person AT PEACE.  Being AT PEACE is not only my inheritance from the Lord, it is also my responsibility.

Beloved, we are now living in an Age in which a foul and false spirit of Division and Violence has been unleashed.  We must walk in the Ministry the Prince of Peace, and become the PEACEMAKERS of our Age who Minister in the OPPOSITE spirit of our times.
 
Matthew 5:9 NIV - Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
 
The efforts required of us are born out of a State of BEING within us.  PEACE is the OVERFLOW of our heart but it does not happen by osmosis, IT MUST BE CULTIVATED!  Because we are the Children of God, we are Peace MAKERS, and we must hone and develop our Godly traits.
 
Romans 12:18 NIV - …As far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
 
The Hour is growing late and the return of the Lord is truly near.  Let us embrace the Ministry of Christ: let us be PEACEMAKERS. This is our Christian Ethic: our Father is “the God of peace” (Hebrews 13:20) and our Lord Christ is the “Prince of Peace” (Isa. 9:6); as His Children, we should be PEACEMAKERS. 
 
1 Peter 3:8-9 NIV - Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. 9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.

Beloved, we are now living in an Age in which a foul and false spirit of Division and Violence has been unleashed.  We must walk in the Ministry the Prince of Peace, and become the PEACEMAKERS of our Age who Minister in the OPPOSITE spirit of our times.
 
Matthew 5:9 NIV - Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
 
In order to both “BE” and “DO”: Be at Peace and DO the activity of Peacemakers, we must embrace the PRINCIPLES OF THE SABBATH.

This Great INCARNATIONAL Love of Christ cannot fail!  Sin could not corrupt it; Death could not defeat it; the failings of Human Beings cannot taint it!  There is no need, trial, tribulation, sin, or issue that is beyond the marvelous reach of His love and compassion.
 
Ephesians 3:17 MESSAGE - And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you'll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ's love.
 
Real Love is Sacrificial because true forgiveness is costly.  It exacts a toll on the one who has been hurt, offended, robbed, or abused.

We are not called just to dispense facts or even critical thinking skills, as important as that is...we are called to help the FORMATION of the Character and image of Christ in others: to make Disciples.  Paul spoke not just of “learning” and “hearing,” but also of “receiving” and “seeing.”
 
More than skillset or even a vocation, TEACHING is a GIFT from God.  More than a biological act or a social contract, PARENTING is a Calling from God.  More than a profession, PASTORING is a COMMITMENT to God. The Lord expects us to participate with him in the formation of the image of Christ in others.

Biblical Greatness: Kingdom Greatness, however, cannot be measured by what one attains or by what one obtains.  Rather, it is measured by what one gives. Even this must not be understood in sheer quantity, but rather, in the quality of the gift and the depth of the sacrifice.  

Was it done as expression of Love?
Was it done for the Glory of God?
Was it done to make the Grace of God known to others?
 
According to Jesus, the pennies of the widow were a far greater offering than the wealth of the rich.  Likewise, The legacy and greatness of God is not just in the Majesty of Creation, or the Glory of His Power.  The all-surpassing greatness of God is measured in the depth, beauty, sacrifice, and wonder of His Gift to Humanity:  Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, The Prince of Peace!
 
Our Legacy of Peace is demonstrated through absolute devotion to God.

This is then both our motivation and our challenge.  For this great Love of Christ is INCARNATIONAL!

Following Christ does not require a suspension of rational thought or reasoned consideration.  In fact, I believe that the same God who gave us the ability to utilize reason and logic expects us to use these abilities for His glory and the enrichment of the ministry.  With that said, however, please remember that our Faith began with a miracle, so it continues by the supernatural flow of the Lord God.  Ultimately, He must do His work and it is a supernatural endeavor that we must not only recognize, but also embrace. God is not our Enemy!  The conditions that would create hostility have been resolved in Christ Jesus, and He Himself is now our Peace.

Water Baptism was Instituted By Christ…

In Water Baptism, we follow the COMMAND and EXAMPLE of Jesus…His PATTERN.  Furthermore, in so doing this, water baptism is also a REFLECTION of Him and on Him!

It is from this Truth and out of this Relationship that we must then understand and consider the command of our Lord Jesus.

Beloved, I cannot overstate the importance of us engaging Christ and this World with His Love.  We simply cannot do the ministry without it.  The SAME MOTIVATION, with which JESUS began His Ministry, is that which compels Him to complete it.

John 3:16 KJV - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The Risen Christ visited the Disciples, in Person! The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is the central doctrine of the Christian Faith, the most important event in Human History, and frankly, it is the most precious truth of my life right now.  

1 Corinthians 15:2-4 NIV - By this gospel you are saved… 3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…

All of our ministry must have at its core the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.  It is the universal Code of Legitimacy concerning our Savior. It allows Him to say that He is the only way.

I’m not suggesting that we go looking for trouble so we can show how much we love God. No, life is full of trouble - it will come our way if it hasn’t already. God promises not to give us anything we can’t handle with help.

Examine our hearts today – do we really love him? In the good times and the bad?  In the bad times, our integrity or lack of it will show up (Job’s Wife)…but what about the good times – is our love only superficial? 

It is not mind over matter or a denial of the difficulties. Three hebrew men in the fire:  our God is able to deliver us, but if he does not choose to do so, we still will not serve your gods. We can say the same if we are in a loving relationship with Christ. This kind of true religion is often missing in Christianity but not in christian cathedral!!

John 20:19 NIV78 - On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”

The actions of our Savior that very night, the first night after His Resurrection, have great significance: an affirmation that indeed it is He…bodily (his wounds); but also an incredible grace and mercy as He encouraged the Disciples.  Even though all of them had fled as cowards and abandoned Him in his hour of greatest need (except for John); and were now huddled in fear and unbelief, He did not appear to them with the tone of condescension nor the rod of condemnation.  Instead, out of the great motivation of Love, Jesus says, “Peace,” “Shalom,” “Order,” “Wholeness,” and “Right Standing with God.”

I have shared with you my belief and my concern, that we are in that Hour which our Lord prophesied would come:

Matthew 24:12 KJV - …Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

The only remedy for this is the LOVE of CHRIST shed abroad within the hearts and lives of His People.​
