“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Mission
The Young Adult Ministry of Christian Cathedral is designed to create unique fellowship opportunities for college students, graduates and young professionals aged 18 - 35 who desire to increase and explore their Christian faith by connecting with one another through fellowship, growth and service. |

Focus of this ministry
Monthly Gathering
The Young Adult Ministry group will meet at 2:00 pm on the last Sunday of each month, immediately following the 11:00am morning service. During this time of fellowship, the group will worship together, hear testimonies/speakers on select subjects, converse on selected relevant topics, and also plan a monthly service project.
Every 3rd Month Outing
In addition to the bi-monthly meetings, every quarter a special event will be scheduled with the goal of connecting with other young adults on a social level. These events can range from (but not limited to); Concerts, Festivals, Bon Fire/BBQ, Day in SF, Beach Day, Backpacking and Hiking, Camping, Football/Baseball Games, Dave & Buster’s, Chabot Space and Science Center, Academy of Science, Bowling, Dinner and Movie (even Drive in Movie), Target Shooting/Skeet Shooting/Hunting, etc.
Sunday Service
One of the important aspects of the Young Adult ministry is to provide a welcoming environment in the Sunday worship services for this age group. We can show support for each by sitting together as a group. Another way is by integrating young adults into service positions in other ministries within the church, and by encouraging interaction with visitors and other members of the congregation.
Community Service
Some of the service projects planned include picking up elderly at local retirement homes and bringing them to Sunday Morning Service, handing out "Care Packages" (meal, drink, socks, underwear, Bibles) to the homeless/needy, partnering with local nonprofits and churches to support their ministry of service, going on prayer walks, and getting involved in local community clean up days.. Our goal through all of this is to be light within the community, build relationships, and show the love of Christ to Oakland and the Bay Area!
“Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.”
