Please pray for, and consider tangible support of, the thousands of lives impacted by these horrific fires...the worst in the history of our state. Over 6500 families have lost their homes and irreplaceable personal belongings; Scores have been injured, and dozens of lives have been lost. Additionally, within our own Movement, the main church building in Paradise is destroyed along with over 95% of the town. Our pastors in Paradise and Chico, along with over a hundred families from those congregations, have lost their homes.
In addition to praying for our brothers and sisters, and the communities they serve, we have joined with our Regional Ministry Office, Bishop Sean O’Neal, and over 100 Church of God congregations in California and Nevada, in sending tangible support to the victims of these fires. Thus far, The Cathedral has committed $4,500 to the relief efforts. We encourage you to do whatever is in your heart to do...and above all, please pray.
